Cloud Solutions Overview
Hello everybody, my name is Ahmed Elghandour. As Chris mentioned, I'll be working with you now on this presentation about cloud solutions. We will discuss what cloud solutions are and why they are presented. ANSYS is one of the top leading software for permit analysis, and while everyone can have it on their computer, sometimes stronger machines are needed. ANSYS has adapted to work on the cloud, offering different partners to provide this opportunity.
Ozen Cloud
One of these solutions is Ozen Cloud, which we provide at Ozen Engineering. Ozen Cloud is a leading ANSYS cloud solution used by many of our customers to solve complicated problems. It offers the advantage of faster solutions without needing to have your own solutions.

Additional Remarks by Thomas Francis
One of the key benefits of the cloud is that providers regularly refresh hardware. The pace of new hardware capabilities in the cloud far exceeds what an internal IT team can manage. For example, one server type we use, the H16R, has been updated from 16 to 60 CPU cores, with RAM increasing from 112 to 240 GB, and networking speed more than doubling. Importantly, the price remains approximately the same, offering 5x the capabilities in 18 months. This can significantly reduce analysis time from weeks to days, or even hours.

in mechanical engineering from Cairo University and a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been doing FBA for 10 years, eight of those specifically using ANSYS.
If you have technical support questions about structural analysis, thermal analysis, dynamics, or CFD, you might be speaking with Ahmed. I'm turning this over to Ahmed now. Thanks for your attention. Hello everybody.
My name is Ahmed Elghandour, and I'll be working with you on this presentation about the cloud solution. We'll talk about what it is and why it's presented, with a focus on ANSYS as one of the main features of the cloud solution.
ANSYS has adopted itself to work on the clouds through different partners, such as OSINT cloud, which we provide at OSINT Engineering.
OSINT cloud is one of the leading ANSYS clouds that many of our customers and ANSYS customers use to solve complicated problems and benefit from the advantages of the cloud, such as faster solutions without the need for their own solutions.
Thank you very much and thank you to everyone for joining us. We hope you have a great day. We will talk about OSINT cloud and its software upgrade with OSINT cloud.
You can have access to advanced hardware with multiple numbers of cores, the latest versions of software, and high-speed performance computing whenever it's needed. OSINT cloud is focused on the ANSYS solution and is based on a specialized company in cloud computing with a focus on ANSYS solutions.
When you are dealing with OSINT cloud, you will have the software you are interested in, which is usually the latest version, pre-installed. You will also have the configuration you asked for ready. OSINT cloud is based on Microsoft Azure with all the features that come with it.
The main question is why someone would love to use or need to use cloud solutions. It's because of the hardware, software, and technical support. Many customers might have expertise to solve their problems, but they don't have the hardware to solve it.
They might have a very big project that's not in their typical workflow and they cannot handle it with the current hardware. They need the cloud to deal with that.
The cloud will give you as many cores as you want to get any configuration you need to solve your simulation in an effective time manner. You will also have the latest solution or the latest version installed.
When you use the cloud, you have the ability to deal with the hardware and select how many cores you want. You can also have different scenarios with different configurations for each one individually.
You will have the latest version of ANSYS, and if you need an older version, that will be available. You will have the software and the hardware that you need to work with.
The software and the hardware that OZENcloud gives you access to will give you access to a group of experts who will be more than happy to help you with any technical questions you have in SEA, CFD, or electronics.
One of the benefits of using the cloud is its very familiar GUI, so you don't really need to go in the queue or some coding to be able to run your simulation. It's just as you're working in front of your normal computer.
Once you contact OZEN and have access to the OZENcloud, you'll get login information, a password, and an email with everything you need to know about the cloud. Everything will be provided to you, even technical support.
Let me take you to a demo prepared with a previous colleague to show you how things work. Your OZENcloud virtual desktop will appear right there in your browser. You can just use it as you would your typical computer. Now let's open ANSYS Workbench and see how the workflow is familiar.
Everything is working. We can see the graphical performance of OSINT Cloud software and experience as we expect the generated mesh before sending it on to the next stage of the analysis. You can upload your project or start your own from scratch as you typically do with any new project.
You can upload and download all the results as an archive file. Here's some information about the account. You can pick the data center and the configuration you want for each session. You don't have to commit to a particular configuration.
You can have a flexible configuration based on the different simulation you are using. Once you have the account, you will need to acquire a license or you have your own license if you want. This is basically the main presentation for today.
So please, if you have any question, feel free to write it now in the chat section and me or one of my colleagues will be very happy to answer your questions. One of the key benefits of the cloud is that cloud providers are refreshing that hardware on a very regular basis.
The capabilities are becoming available in the cloud, and they far exceed anything that an internal IT team can cope with. Just to give one really striking example, one of the server types that we typically use in OZEN Cloud is a machine called H16R.
It comes with 16 CPU cores, 112 gigs of RAM, and very high-speed networking, 40 gigs InfiniBand. This was released about 18 months ago or so, and Microsoft has already updated that machine type.
The new machine has 60 CPU cores instead of 16, 240 gigs of RAM instead of 112, and the networking is more than twice as fast, 100 gigs EDR InfiniBand. And here's the most important point. The price is approximately the same as the old node.
So for the same price, in about 18 months, you get easily 5x the capabilities in the cloud. And this can unlock all kinds of very interesting use cases for your analysis. You can do multiple runs. You can do multiple runs in parallel.
You can go from running analysis in weeks to days, and from days to hours. These are real-world use cases and examples that we've seen with customers.
So reach out to the sales team at OZEN, and we'll be happy to share some of those customer use cases with you guys so that you can see how cloud can really benefit your analysis as well.
