EMA3D Shielding Effectiveness of a Box Demo (6/6): Analyzing Results

In this video, we will guide you through the process of analyzing the results of a successful simulation. Follow the steps below to compute and visualize the field statistics:

Steps to Analyze Results

  1. Access Field Probe:
    • Navigate to the Results section.
    • Right-click on Field Probe 1.
    • Select Compute Field Statistics.
  2. Select Source File:
    • Ensure the source file planewave.dat is preselected.
    • Click Open.
  3. Select Vector Directions:
    • Keep all directions checked for analysis.
    • Click OK.

Viewing Results

Once the computations are complete, you can view the results:

  • Under Results, find Field Statistics 1 which includes:
    • Field Averages
    • Shielding Effectiveness
  • Under 2D Plots, view auto-generated plots:
    • E-field Averages
    • Shielding Effectiveness

To view the plots:

  1. Right-click on the desired plot.
  2. Select Show.

Adjusting Plot Parameters

If you wish to adjust the plot:

  1. Right-click on the plot.
  2. Select Configure > Chart.
  3. Adjust the parameters as needed.

You can view and adjust the Shielding Effectiveness with the same options.

This concludes the demonstration of the shielding effectiveness of a box. Thank you for watching, and see you in the next video. Bye bye.

Now that the simulation has run successfully, let's go to the results and right-click on field probe 1. We're going to select "Compute field statistics," and here we need to select our source file, which is preselected as "planewave.dat" and click "Open." Then we need to select the directions for the vectors we want to analyze along.

And here we will keep all of them checked.

Click "OK." So if we go now to "Results," we'll find "Field statistics 1" (the field averages) and "Shielding effectiveness." Under "2D plots," we have these auto-generated plots, the "E-field averages" and "Shielding effectiveness." To view them, right-click here and click "Show." OK.

And here we have our results. If we want to adjust the plot, right-click, select "Configure," then "Chart," and we have the different parameters we can adjust. Here we can view our "Shielding effectiveness," and we have the same options here.

This concludes the "EMA3D Shielding Effectiveness of a Box Demo (6/6): Analyzing Results." Thanks for watching, and see you in the next video. Bye bye.
