In R19.1, ANSYS had its first full release of Icepak in AEDT, enables one-way EM loss coupling with EM tools(HFSS, Maxwell, Q3D). A year later, in 2019R1 release, ANSYS has implemented two-way EM loss coupling, that Utilizes thermal modifier for materials and temperature feedback in EM design.

There are two options to create an EM-thermal coupling analysis in AEDT: manual process and electrothermal ACT. For more information, please visit OEI’s webinar library and look for the following webinar topics: Two-way Electrothermal Workflow in AEDT and Simple Tips for AEDT Icepak.
