EMA3D Shielding Effectiveness of a Box Demo (5/6): Meshing and Model Execution
Introduction
Welcome to this demonstration on how to mesh a box and run a simulation using EMA3D. In this video, we will guide you through the steps necessary to complete the process effectively.
Meshing the Geometry
To begin, ensure that the geometry is within the lattice and has material properties assigned. This is crucial for the meshing process. Follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Geometry section.
- Click on the Mesh button.
- Observe the mesh overlay on top of the geometry.
To exit the mesh view, simply press the Escape key.
Running the Simulation
With the mesh in place, proceed to run the simulation:
- Go to the Analysis section.
- Click on the Start button.
- The Processing Model window will appear, displaying any warnings.
- Click Run to execute the model.
Once the model run is complete, you have successfully meshed and run a simulation.

Thank you for watching. See you next time. Bye bye.
Now, the next step is to mesh the box and run the simulation. Here, the geometry will only be meshed if it is within the lattice and has material properties assigned to it, which is the case here. So, under "Geometry," click on the "Mesh" button, and you can see the mesh on top of the geometry.
To close out of the mesh, click escape. Now, under "Analysis," click on the "Start" button. The processing model window will appear with any warnings that we might have. Here, click "Run." The model run is complete. This is how to mesh and run a simulation. Thanks for watching.
