Release 15.0.9 Readme

This ANSYS release 15.0.9 patches previously-installed versions of ANSYS release 15.0.7 and is compatible with Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 8 (64 bit), Windows 8.1 (Professional and Enterprise versions), Linux Red Hat Enterprise 5.7 through 5.9 (64 bit), Linux Red Hat Enterprise 6.2 through 6.5 (64 bit), and SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 SP 1 through SP 3 (64 bit).

This release addresses an EKM issue for users who wish to use ANSYS Workbench with EKM by replacing a single jar file (ekm-connector-15.0.jar). Please note that this release is only required for ANSYS Workbench for EKM users.

Prerequisites

Prior to installing the ANSYS release 15.0.9, ANSYS release 15.0.7 must first be installed. Detailed instructions are available on the ANSYS Customer Portal at Downloads> Installation and Licensing Help and Tutorials.

The customer portal is accessible from the ANSYS website (www.ansys.com).

Download Instructions

You will need to uncompress this installation program using standard uncompression utilities for your specific platform. We strongly recommend that you extract the files into a new, temporary directory. Then, follow the installation instructions below for your platform(s).

Windows Installation Instructions

Be aware that Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 use a feature called User Account Control (UAC) to control privileges and automatically reduce the potential of security breaches in the operating system. However, UAC limits your accessibility to system areas and can cause unpredictable behavior in ANSYS products. Because of this limitation, we strongly recommend performing the installation with full administrative options.
