Ozen Engineering Inc. is sponsoring a new on-line continuing higher education initiative in advanced engineering.

” Education Empowers People!!!”

The improve.it online training service is available to engineers and technicians, and in particular to employee and consultants that:

  • need to increase their knowledge on an advanced engineering topic in a fast and cost effective way
  • already master a topic, but would like to put their hard-earned knowledge into a broader perspective

How it works: the user can register to the portal, select a topic of interest, and attend lectures, anytime, anywhere. Classes are recorded in advance, so there is no need to wait for a scheduled class.

Classes are given by several Professors, from different universities worldwide – i.e. the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the School of Engineering if the Joenkoeping University (Sweden), the University of Padova (Italy), Politecnico di Milano (Italy), UniversitÚ libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), and more to come.

Among the many topics that are covered, or will be covered in the next months, we can mention: Introduction, Intermediate and Advance Finite Element Theory, Optimization, Design of Experiments (DOE), Fracture Mechanics, Fatigue, Acoustics, Thermo-Fluid-Dynamics Analysis of HVAC Systems, Design with Composites, Material/Manufacturing Process Simulation, Statistics, Theory of Signals, Heat Treatment.

Some classes are provided upon the payment of a very competitive fee, whereas some others are free of charge. Paydup classes include the delivery of a paper copy of the training material. Most courses are available in English language.

The courses have an average duration of 4 to 8 hours each and they are aimed at delivering quality training on complex engineering areas, covering for both theory and applications. As briefly mentioned above, the courses are pre-recorded and are made available in an easy to use video-lecture format.

The improve.it initiative is backed by the TCN consortium for higher education, whose mission is to train engineers and technicians in the field of advanced Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and related topics.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, Ozen Engineering will exploit the improve.it training service internally for its engineers and externally for selected Customers.
