ANSYS ASAS

ANSYS ASAS is a general purpose structural finite element system that has industry specific features that address the needs of offshore and marine engineers. The ANSYS ASAS product provides the features required for performing global structural assessment of most types of marine structures including jackets, jack-ups, risers, offshore wind farms, and floating systems such as FPSOs, spars and semi-submersibles.

Features

Model Generation
Model generation through the ANSYS Mechanical Products or Femgv

Non-Linear and Extended Solution Capabilities
Provides a standard set of features that would be required for going beyond simple linear elastic analysis

Coupled Wave Structure Interaction with Regular and Random Waves
Integrates the wave loading capabilities with the large deflection solver available in the non-linear product

Code Checking and Fatigue Calculations
Provides capabilities to undertake checks against the most commonly used codes

Interfaces to ANSYS AQWA
Pressures and motions from a diffraction/radiation analysis in ANSYS AQWA can be transferred to an ASAS model

Direct Access of ASAS Results from MS-EXCEL © and Mathcad ©
Results can be accessed and retrieved using MS-EXCEL and Mathcad
